With the high school provincial championships starting this up week, MABO Provincial Interpreter Darren Patkau is sharing the following reminders with the MABO Membership about some differences between Junior Varsity and Varsity with respect to shot clock resets and backcourt time.
Shot clocks:
- JV - 30 seconds and 14-second re-set
- Varsity - 24 seconds and 14-second re-set
ALL LIVE BALL RESETS ARE 24 OR 30 SECONDS, EVEN IF THE BALL HITS THE RIM.
Advancing from the backcourt to the frontcourt
- JV - 10 seconds to get over the half-court line
- Varsity - 8 seconds to get over the half-court line
