MABO is required to fill the position of Financial Reviewer to review the books for the 2022-23 Fiscal Year. The following describes the responsibilities of the Financial Reviewer from our Bylaws:
8.1.2 Appointment of Independent Reviewer
The Board shall at each Annual General Meeting appoint an independent reviewer to undertake a review of the Association’s financial statements, accounts and related financial and risk matters. The reviewer shall hold office until the next Annual General Meeting following his appointment.
8.1.3 Scope of Review
The scope of the review will be established jointly by the reviewer and the Board or the Finance Committee.
8.1.4 Independence of Reviewer
To be eligible for appointment as such, the reviewer must not be a Director or Officer of the Association, or a family member of a Director or Officer.
